Mary's Fish Camp

I love seafood and Mary's Fish Camp had been suggest, so on a trip downtown a Mary's fit the bill.  Mary's is quaint restaurant on a quiet block in the village.

Walked in and the place is tiny.  Not "cozy", but tiny. There is a curved bar and about 10 tables.

We arrived before the height of the dining rush and when we arrived, we were told, that there are no tables but two spaces at the bar should open momentarily as two diners were closing out their bill.

While waiting we watched some very nice plates leave the kitchen.  Less than five minutes later we were seated at the bar.

Sitting at the bar, gives you a good view of the kitchen.

My food roadie Willie ordered crab claws as an appetizer.
For entree's I ordered the whole bass and Wilie ordered the snapper.    The fish came with mixed veggies but since I didn't like the veggies, I was offered some green beans, which were deeeeeelish!

Both fish were cooked to perfection.  The waitress was very kind and paired wines with the fish.  After we finished our meal, we were offered dessert.  We declined and ordered a basket of fries which was really good.

During our meal we noticed there was quit a bit of turnover in the restaurant. I would think about 8 or 10 parties came in the hour and 20 minutes we were there.  It's obviously popular.  I say if you're going to dine here, come early.

In my opinion this is not a place for a date, as the tables are very very close and the restaurant lacks a certain ambiance.

Nothing more to say but that.  It was quick, simple, and fuss free.
