Wandering 'round Washington

Washington DC is a great place to just walk and enjoy the sites.  There is a monument, or a circle on darn near every corner.

This trip I wanted to walk the mall and take pictures.  However due to overcast skies and nippy temps, I started at Union Station then walked over to the US Capital.  After that I drove down to the Washington Monument and the Whitehouse.

It’s brief but it gave me time to plot a map for my next visit to our nations capital.

Liberty Bell replica.
Is the real thing in Philly not good enough?

Inside of Union Station.  I would have taken
more pictures but a Dick Cheney rent-a-cop with a gun
creeped me out and I didn't want to be "statistic"!

Well over to the US Capitol

Since I'm in town I visit the Obama's

of course Mother Robinson isn't having
any unannounced visitors

Look at the security on top of the White House as she peers out the upstairs window a la Pearl of 227.

That's all from Chocolate City
