Philadelphia - Summer 2010

Whenever, I come to Philly I rarely travel more than a few block away from City Hall. I usually hang out on Rittenhouse Square. I've previously been to Independence hall, the Libery Bell and Washington Square Park areas.

I've never explored the Franklin Square, China Town or the Museum Area. Today I thought I would expand my horizons. I decided to walk the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. It a nice tree line Boulevard, lined with flags from JFK Plaza to the Museum of Art.

The Franklin Institute

The Soldiers and Sailors monuments

Oh no....Storm clouds form as I approach the Museum of Art!

The Washington Monument

The "Rocky Steps".  Why is Gonna Fly, the theme song from Rocky, playing in my warped little head?

That JackHole in the blue shirt totally messed up my pic, I wanted his ass to fall all the way down the steps and it starts to rain!

I love the exterior of the Philadelphia Museum of Art

One of my favorite art pieces of all time, "Social Consciousness".
Left to right, the figures represent Compassion, Eternal Motherhood and Death.

Other statues, I like, on the Museum Grounds.
The Lion Fighter

The Amazon

Walking back toward Center City,
I got this shot of Liberty Place

I decided to walk through Rittenhouse Square park.
A great urban park.

Some of the turn of the century homes around the square a fabulous.

The South Side (Avenue of the Arts) of Philadelphia City Hall

I hope you enjoyed my view of Philadelphia!

I generally take pictures in and around Manhattan but today decided to go to New Jersey to get a different perspective.

Hoboken

The Amazing Hoboken Terminal.
Its gorgeous on the inside and give a sense of the "height" of train travel.
