The Westin Chicago River North is one of my favorite properties in Chicago as indicated in my Fall 2009 review.
On my final day in Chicago I decided to stay here, to maximize a promo. Checking in I was greeted by name - love that - and the agent went over the general elite benefits and sent me on my way to the Executive Club level.
I expected to be upgraded, but not upgraded to a suite as large as I was assigned. I had to call the FD agent and thank them and they said, "no, we thank you for being such a loyal guest". Good customer service is essential in a business and when I'm treated like I'm the only person in an establishment, that makes it easier for me to be a repeat guest.
The room was the largest room I've ever been assigned here.
You walk into a long entry hallway, that leads you past a bathroom and into a large parlor.
On the desk there is a mac, which provides guest with free internet access.
Off the parlor is a large bedroom. The bedroom has great views of the Loop and West Loop Areas.
Back out in the hallway, there are a couple of walk in closets.
Across from the closet is a massive bathroom. The bathroom is larger than some New York City apartments.
I could live in the bathroom alone.
The executive club lounge is open and provides a nice assortment of items throughout the day. The gym is crowded but functional.
The staff is responsive, pleasant and professional and with it's prime location I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone.
