Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

I normally don’t eat at chains, but since someone I will not name suggested it, so I went in with an open mind.

You walk in and it’s like walking into the shrine Forest Gump movie.  I thought maybe I should I turn and run?

After being led upstairs to the dining room, I felt as though I was transformed into a massive trailer park.

Seated we were given a Bubba Gump welcome, some trivia and told how to “call” our server by flipping a sign.  For service at your table, by any server, you flip the sign from "run Forrest run" to "stop Forrest stop".  Can you say cheezy?
Everything else is in the bucket.  Classy!

I ordered the Fish and Chips.  Willie ordered the Shrimp Cobb Salad. While waiting we ordered a Speckled Lemonade and Amazon Nectar.

My fish came on a “platter”.  It was pretty good, but I’m not sure it was fresh fish.  I substituted fries for Onion Rings and they were very good.  Willie’s salad was nice, fresh and tasty.  It was also a large portion for lunch.

I was not expecting that much considering that it's on Times Square, a tourist trap and most places around there tend to be over priced, however, the price for lunch was in line with most midtown restaurants.  Our server was nice, attentive and had a great attitude.

To end, it’s not the worse restaurant I’ve dined, but If you’ve eaten here once, there is no need to return.
